Some projects hold a special place from the very beginning. For Mercator Estates, the redevelopment of the historic buildings at the corner of Lubicz and Westerplatte Streets in Kraków is exactly such a project. That is why we are proud to announce that we have obtained the final building permit.
For us, this represents far more than the completion of an administrative process. It marks the moment when months of work by our team, architects and all project partners become the foundation for bringing to life the development that marks the beginning of Mercator Estates’ journey as a residential developer.
The project will see the revitalisation of two historic tenement buildings in one of Kraków’s most distinctive locations – at the intersection of Lubicz and Westerplatte Streets, just steps away from the Juliusz Słowacki Theatre. The development will comprise 72 apartments, commercial units, a two-level underground car park and a landscaped green courtyard, creating a new living space while fully respecting the site’s architectural heritage and rich history.
From the outset, we knew this project had to be exceptional. Not only because of its prestigious location, but above all because we are shaping a place of great importance to Kraków. Our ambition is to preserve the unique character of these historic buildings while creating homes that meet the expectations of contemporary residents.
Obtaining the final building permit marks the beginning of a new chapter. We are now ready to deliver a development that reflects the values on which Mercator Estates is built – quality, responsibility and respect for the character of the place.
We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to preparing this project. We are excited to begin the next chapter of this remarkable journey.
